Sleigh ride organized by the PROVENTUS FOUNDATION and the International Police Association (IPA)
On the 21st of February 2007 the Proventus Foundation and the International Police Association (IPA) organized a sleigh ride in the Culture and Recreation Park in Chorzów. The event was part of the SAFE ROADS programme.

The children who took part in the event came from the following social care centres:

- Orphanage in Chorzów
- Orphanage in Bytom
- Social and Therapeutic Day Care Centre in Ruda Śląska
- Social Care Centre „Ochronka” in Chorzów
- Group of Integration Schools in Chorzów.

During the event there was a presentation of police dogs training. The children could have a look at police cars and all sorts of specialized equipment. One of the greatest attractions was a horse-drawn carriage in which all interested could take a ride through the park.

There was also a very fiendly horse, employed by the horse-mounted police, that allowed the children to ride it and posed for pictures. Additionally, there were presentations of policemen and firemen as well as competions for children who had to show their “extraordinary” strength and fitness.

All participants recived sweets and drinks. They could also try pea soup and sausages provided by the Proventus Foundation.
